The smell comes from bacteria on the skin breaking down teen sweat. Persimmon tannins grab those bacteria and rinse them away. We age ours up to 3 years - aging makes the tannins many times stronger.

Warm water. Work up a rich lather. A little goes a long way.

Wash your whole body, or just the spots where the smell starts: behind the ears, neck, chest, underarms, back. Let it sit 45 seconds. That's when it works.

Rinse clean

At puberty, hormones turn on new sweat glands. They make an oilier sweat. Bacteria feed on it - and that's where the sharp, sour, oniony smell comes from.

Persimmon has a natural compound called tannins that stops bacteria from growing on the skin.
Fresh persimmon is weak in tannins, so we age ours 3 years, which makes it many times stronger. Clean stays clean, hours longer.
The Slow Craft Behind Every Bar.
Picked unripe — on purpose. Every summer, our partner farmers in Japan pick the persimmons while they're still small, hard and bitter. That's when the tannins are strongest.
Fermented and crushed by hand. The fruit rests in wooden barrels until it softens. Then each one is crushed by hand. The thick amber juice goes into clay pots. The doors close.
Aged for up to 3 years. The pots sit. Month after month, the juice turns a deep gold and the tannins grow stronger. Only then do we blend in green tea, coconut oil and glycerin.

Why doesn't their deodorant work anymore?
Deodorant covers the smell on top of the skin. The bacteria underneath keep going. So it breaks through by lunch.
They have acne, is this gentle enough for their skin?
Yes. No harsh chemicals. The persimmon does the bacteria work, the coconut oil and glycerin keep skin soft. Safe for acne-prone skin and safe for daily use.
They're a fast-shower kid. Will it still work?
